Sew On and Sew Forth would like to share a new blog with you all.

We would like to update you on events that have happened recently and also changes that are currently going on inside our shop.

Firstly, we would like to introduce our new member of staff, Jordan. He is an apprentice who is working the shop floor and currently finding his feet within the embroidery section.

Our raffle raised £115 for the stepping stones day centre in Margao.

Well done to  Anita Kew for winning the quilt!

We have some lovely new fabrics available!

A new Christmas and Halloween range of cottons have been added to the shelves along with our “sew shott” fabric.

We are also awaiting a new supply of 100% cottons that are available in 30 different colours. 56″ wide.

Also, samples for a new range of upholstery fabric have arrived. Saville Richmond comes with a width of 3 metres! This fabric is exclusive to Sew On and Sew Forth within the North Norfolk area.

Victoria and Albert fabric is also on its way to the shop, along with matching paint pots. We will keep you updated on arrival.

Please also take a moment to admire Stuart’s “jelly snails” which are our very own take on the jelly rolls. Stuart felt that although a jelly roll is very pretty, it doesn’t let the customer see enough of the fabric inside the roll. He adjusted it slightly so this was possible and this is how the jelly snail was born! – please only feed them once daily 😉

Angela and John are off to India again on the 27th October until the 13th November. They are off for a well earned break to celebrate their anniversary and take in some Indian sunshine.

There will of course, also be a little shopping involved…

Lastly, our shop floor has had a slight re-vamp.

We have now installed new shelving to help tidy our clothing range, making it much easier for customers to find what they’re looking for. The shop looks much more spacious and organised. Come and take a look!
